An air turbine loses power the harder you push it. A brushless electric motor does not. The MX2 PLUS holds torque all the way through its speed range, so the cut feels the same at the end of a prep as it did at the start. That is the practical difference between electric and air, and it is the reason offices switch.

Gearing note: 1:1 attachments preserve speed and torque. 1:5 attachments multiply speed and divide torque by five. 4:1 attachments divide speed and multiply torque by four.
